The Wadden Sea
The Wadden Sea - Unesco World Heritage - is Denmark's largest National Park and among the most valuable wetland areas in the world and of crucial importance for breeding birds, fish, ocean mammals and plant life.
Dear guest - welcome to Esbjerg.
The sea is the central subject for main attractions in Esbjerg such as the Fisheries and Maritime Museum and the famous sculpture Man Meets the Sea, but Esbjerg also offers excellent shopping possibilities in one of Denmark's longest pedestrian streets not far from the harbour.
Close to Esbjerg you will find a number of unique sights such as the unique Wadden Sea (Unesco World Heritage Site), Fanø and Mandø - charming islands of the Danish Wadden Sea and Ribe - the oldest and one of the most picturesque towns in Denmark.
We hope that you will enjoy your stay at our part of Denmark and that you will be coming back.
